How to practice the Master Key System

Recently I started scanning the search terms on my German MKS site for interesting topics. Today I found the first one on this site, which I herewith grab by the horns and convert into something useful.

“How to practice the master key system” was what a visitor was looking for. Without much ado, here are the answers:

  1. Do the exercises! The first and most obvious answer is: do the exercises given at the end of each chapter! Why? Because they are the very essence of change. Not clear enough? Without being able to sit still, you won’t be able to control your thoughts. Without thought control, there won’t  be any physical relaxation. And without physical relaxation, no mental relaxation – no letting go of old thoughts, and certainly absolutely no way to visualise and concentrate on those things you wish to attract into your life. Visualisation and concentration take up 5/6 of  the 24 exercises, so you understand right away how important they are. If you’re not doing the exercises at least 4 times a week, you’re wasting your time with the Master Key System.
  2. Wake up! Become aware! Look closely! Mind the details!  Over and above those exercises, which keep you busy for at least six months, you will have to build onto that foundation in real life. How? Well, by becoming increasingly aware of your thoughts, emotions and actions. Once again, without that awareness and an ability to stop those things right in their track, a new result can never occur. Same action, same result.
  3. Repeat! The next step is to turn all this into a habit. Do it so often that it almost comes out of your ears. Repetition is the mother of all learning and therefore success!
  4. Look at things differently! At places you stay, the roads you often use, buildings, even clouds or ants or the 8 o’clock news. Question it. Think differently about it. Different viewpoint, different outcome.
  5. Set yourself a goal! You are obviously doing all this because there is something that you would like to accomplish – better health, more happiness, or more money. The initial goal will be broad and can be described easily in one sentence.  The path towards reaching that goal is, however, far more complex, so it will have to be split up into bite-size chunks. As the old saying goes: “A journey starts with a single step.” So split up that goal into those manageable chunks. In business they call it project management, and it has deadlines and milestones. Do the same. Set deadlines and milestones. Write them down. Fine-tune them. Try something out and change it if it doesn’t work. You’re not alone. Nature also works like that.
  6. Celebrate  yourself every time you meet a deadline and reach a milestone. Celebration is key!
  7. Appreciate! The large things can only come if you appreciate the small ones. So make a habit of being appreciative and grateful for all and sundry. Start right in the morning when you wake up, because at the same time thousands of people didn’t! Give thanks to the air, to the toothbrush, the water from the tap, the food you eat etc. Gratitude is a big thing, and a logical result of an advanced mind.
  8. Seek the silence! That’s where old habits are questioned and their cause is found. That’s where new ideas are born – great ideas!

If you follow those steps, you will slowly but surely see the world with different eyes. Most importantly, though, you will start empowering yourself, because you are the one that holds the reigns to your thoughts, and therefore your emotions, and therefore your life.

Start today – you’ll be so glad you did!

What problems do you have with the exercises? You may need some time, but it all starts with sitting still, then observing and slowing down your thoughts, then relaxing physically, then mentally. And this way you open up to visualisation and concentration. 🙂 Easy as pie. 😀

The study course Helmar Rudolph is offering is an excellent complement to the Master Key System. It is helping me to have a much deeper, richer understanding of Haanel's work, and gives me the encouragement and support to actually apply the principles in my life!
